Another strange idea...

Ok, I posted that 'goes with nothing but the strangeness that is in my head' picture that Kitana did, a couple of entries ago...

And there were several pokes about a story to go with it. Which I don't have. Nor am likely to have the time to write anytime in the next year. Or so.
So...
I had this idea and wondered what you guys would think of a contest/challenge for it? I don't have a real clear idea how to go about this, but I was thinking maybe just run it here in LJ and then do a poll? Maybe for a PL Nunn commission?
But...
Before I start this thing in motion, would anybody be interested? Any suggestions? Tell me I'm nuts? ^^;

I really love that pic and would be interested in a challenge, just as long as there's plenty of time to do it in, for slowpokes like me. ^_^

I'm with Caroline... if there was enough time to write something up for it, I'd love to give it a go. But I know the rest of this year for me will be hit and miss on the fic writing front... The first part of next year looks good though.

So depending on what the contest is asking for, if you're willing, I'm sure more than me would be! Love the pic, and it does so inspire.

and an LJ challenge community would be spiffy. <3 *dreamy stare into the distance* one challenge every two years - to give the writers enough time to procrastinate. And maybe there could be a procrastination deadline, you know? ie, you have to prove you have at least one paragraph after a year or so...

I suppose it is a bit close to the holidays and all that mess. So definately after the first of the year. I don't know that I'm going to be too specific about anything, just see what the pic inspires. It's just too cool of a picture to not do something with. Kit really went above and beyond on it. ^__^

I would say at least three months. Hatsukoi was done in two and it seemed awfully short. But then, I'm as slow as moles' asses in January these days.

I think it's a great idea. You go for it. You know you'll have my support and help, if you need it for anything. (I'm sure you won't.)

I tried to get Kit to do the prize too, but she said that would be just a little bit TOO strange. ^^;

I don't think I'll make too big of a deal out of it, just have people post links or the story itself here in LJ, do an LJ poll at the end. (assuming I can figure out how that's done! ^^;) And I'm sure Pam won't mind a bit more business!
Besides... can we really have too many missiony Heero/Duo fics? ^__^
