'nother idea I had on that topic was breaking apart the 1x2x1 pairing. (Had some interesting demi-plot in head involving Duo and Wufei getting together, staying together for a story or two, and working past a few issues together--maybe Wufei's reluctance to "replace" Meiran with Sally, etc (perhaps by realizing Duo isn't a replacement for Sally...)--and eventually mutually splitting up again and getting back together with their 'proper' mates.

Now THAT would get you killed. ;)
