ha! i've started using that same theory at work... "oh my god! why did you do this?!? i hope this isn't some sort of horrible pattern!" "oh, yah! totally! i f**k up on purpose just because i enjoy getting yelled at!" ...oddly enough, it works every time at getting me off the hook.
