this has nothing to do with anything at all, but i thought i'd sneak it into your livejournal just for kicks. ;)
on election night, as i was watching the presidency get called, a little scene popped into my head of heero and duo sitting on the edge of their seats, staring intently at the tv, holding their breath as the map filled up red and blue. heero, for whatever reason, was pulling for the republicans, and duo was pulling for the democrats. just as the race got called for you-know-who, duo jumped up screaming, doing a happy dance around the room, generally making a fuss of things. heero, meanwhile, groaned and fell back into his seat, rubbing his face with his hand, and generally ruing the day.
but then! then duo, in a fit of joy, promptly dropped to his knees and handed out his own little victory oratorical to heero, and heero decided maybe, just maybe, he could handle four years of democrats, after all.
